The walk is part of the charity’s nationwide campaign to encourage participants from across the South West region to collectively make a difference and come together to acknowledge the need for humanitarian aid towards disadvantaged communities and those suffering through crisis.
is needed now More than ever
Offering the opportunity to support a good cause and enjoy the beauty of Bristol and its famous landmarks, including the Clifton Suspension Bridge, Harbourside and Queen Square, the event is free to children with just a £5 donation fee for adults.
With a sponsorship target of £150, all funds raised will contribute towards aiding global crisis, which local contributions help support.
Excited for the upcoming event, senior regional fundraiser Lydia Carter-Mackie has said, “We are thrilled to be bringing our Walk for Humanity event to Bristol on October 5th.
“The event is an opportunity for our community to come together and make a real difference for those affected by conflict and disasters around the world.
“Every step taken and every donation made helps the British Red Cross continue providing life-saving support where it’s needed most. We hope this walk will inspire people across the South West to join us in supporting these vital humanitarian efforts.”
In assisting a good cause, participants can achieve a sense of fulfilment in completing the 10k walk and earning themselves a special medal, as well as other freebies along the way.
If interested, sign up on the British Red Cross website before Wednesday, October 2 to secure your place. Alternatively, participants can sign up to take part in the event on the day.
