Win tickets to Ramblin Man Fair 2015
So a few years back the fine folk at Classic Rock magazine initiated a festival – High Voltage – that ran for two years. It was completely under the radar but very well received by those who went. Alas it has been dormant since, until the same fine folk came up with the concept of the Ramblin’ Man Fair.
This is a smallish festival in Kent on July 25-27– with an eclectic bill that will be of great interest to those with broad taste that is impervious to the dictats of the fashion police. The organisation of the original festival was rather good and the vibe friendly and inclusive, thus we can expect more of the same.
As far as the music, well, where else are you going to be able to enjoy outlaw country (Shooter Jennings), more prog than you can shake a double-neck bass at (Marillion, Anathema and more) classic metal, (Scorpions and their first major UK appearance since they announced their never ending farewell tour & Saxon) and widdly prog metal (Dream Theater).
is needed now More than ever
If you’re bamboozled at the eclecticism thus far, then consider we also have the blues stage – with genuine southern royalty (Gregg Allman), fine new acts (Joanne Shaw Taylor and Aaron Keylock) and the beardy barista approved too (Seasick Steve). Oh and there’s Ian Anderson along with great UK rock (Temperance Movement & Quireboys), hell just drop on to the site, buy a ticket and experience a whole load of bands that know how to satisfy your soul.
