Bristol Sounds 2019 headliners revealed
Bristol Sounds organisers promise the “best lineup yet” as they reveal the four headliners of the series of gigs at the Lloyds Amphitheatre from June 26 to 29.
Joining Bloc Party – who were announced as the first headliners earlier this week alongside the news that Bristol Sounds will return to the harbourside after a year off – are three more big acts.
“All four of our headliners are incredible live acts and we can’t wait to bring them to the heart of the city,” said Conal Dodds, co-founder of Bristol Sounds.
is needed now More than ever
“Bristol Sounds continues to go from strength to strength and this is our best lineup yet.”
Tom Misch is no stranger to Bristol after he saw a packed-out field at Love Saves the Day last summer. Following the release of his first full-length album Geography in 2018, Tom is set to bring his blend of jazzy guitar and hip hop-inspired beats to Bristol Sounds.
Australian outfit The Cat Empire will be the second headline act to take to the stage:
Also putting on their biggest ever Bristol show will be Bloc Party, who headline the stage on June 28, performing their debut album Silent Alarm.
Last but not least, Elbow will be returning to a Bristol stage after headlining the Downs Festival in 2017.
The full lineup of support artists will be announced in the coming weeks.
Tickets go on general sale at 9am on Thursday, January 31 from SeeTickets.com, Ticketmaster.co.uk, Gigantic.com and BristolTicketShop.co.uk.
