Taking place in four venues in and around St Paul’s, the grassroots, volunteer-led festival aims to give people tools to change their communities, workplaces and lives.

is needed now More than ever
2023’s theme is ‘Everything For Everyone’.
“Our society produces enough to provide everyone with a comfortable life, yet we’re struggling to heat our homes,” committee member Kieran Glasssmith said.
“The national wave of strikes shows that people won’t accept this, that we’re ready to fight for a better world – but striking to win better pay and conditions is just the start.
“To prevent future crises means transforming our society to run for human need, not for profit: and to do that, we need thousands of people confident in their understanding of the world, and with the skills to change it.
“More than ever, popular political education is essential to moving our society forwards.”
Bristol Transformed first launched in 2019, as an offshoot of the World Transformed fringe festival at the Labour conference.
2022’s Bristol Transformed takes place from June 16 to 18 at Lost Horizon, Malcom X Centre, Docklands Youth Centre and the People’s Republic of Stokes Croft.
