Ritual Union returns with fresh sounds for 2025
Billy No Mates returns to the city following her recent stellar show at Strange Brew to headline Ritual Union, the day festival that has been making waves pioneering emerging sounds and leftfield established acts since its arrival on the scene seven years ago.
She heads up a bill that includes Welsh psych-pop ‘one to watch’ CVC, Irish post punk outfit Gurriers and experimental seven-piece KEG.

The first wave announcement also includes homegrown talent with anarcho-disco rockers Getdown Services – whose Bristol-centric lyrical references include “Wapping Wharf, find me a worse atmosphere” and “Cabot Circus, shithouse” – appearing alongside janky post-irony crew My First Time, fierce melodic art-poppers MP3 Chainsaw and ‘horrible music for horrible people’ from cult classic The Shania Twainsaw Massacre.
The festival will take place at SWX, Strange Brew and Rough Trade on March 29.
Previous years have seen the likes of Katy J Pearson, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Fontaines DC, Warmduscher, Self Esteem and Nadine Shah championed at the festival. 2025 is anticipated as another exciting day for music fans looking to discover new artists and enjoy intimate shows from some of the alt-scene’s best.
First wave tickets are available to buy from Wednesday, December 18 from ritualunion.seetickets.com/event/ritual-union-2025/various-bristol-venues/2985444
