The Wurzels to headline 50th anniversary festival
It was 50 years ago that Adge Cutler and The Wurzels released the pioneering 1967 Scrumpy & Western EP, creating a much-loved musical genre of the same name.
Fast forward to 2017 and The Wurzels are still going strong, although sadly without Adge, and the band have tens of thousands of fans across the UK and have inspired so many other acts with their music.
To celebrate this momentous anniversary, local promoters Fuelled By Cider are hosting the Scrumpy & Western Extravaganza – a weekend of live music, camping and- of course -cider headlined by The Wurzels themselves.
is needed now More than ever
A host of other Scrumpy & Western acts will join them at Fenhill Farm, near Cheddar, from July 21-23, where there will be live music on Friday and Saturday night until midnight.
In addition to the live performances, there will be a range of locally sourced ciders and food outlets available throughout the weekend, and the event will also be supporting the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance Charity.
Tickets for the extravaganza are available online.
