Cafe could move to Carriageworks development
A popular cafe on Stokes Croft could move over the road into the new Carriageworks development after being granted a premises licence.
The Crafty Egg would move into a larger space on the ground floor of the Carriageworks, and start opening in the evenings too.
The Crafty Egg was granted a premises licence by Bristol City Council during a hearing on Thursday.
is needed now More than ever
While the plans are not yet confirmed, the new premises licence is one step closer for the cafe towards the move, and would allow the sale of alcohol until 11pm.

Speaking during the licensing hearing, cafe owner Ben Bennett said: “The business has been well established in Bristol now, with an alcohol licence already.
“We’re hoping to move into a bigger venue to be able to recruit more staff and seat more customers.”
The Carriageworks building lay derelict for decades but was recently converted into apartments.
In July, Bristol brewery Left Handed Giant was also granted a premises licence for a new bar on the ground floor of the building, but it’s unclear when this will open.
Crafty Egg also opened a new cafe in Fishponds in April last year. The cafe first opened on Stokes Croft in 2016.
