Hart’s Allstars to showcase staff talent
Staff at Hart’s Bakery will be shaking up normal proceedings on Sunday, April 9 with a one-day showcase of their diverse talents and skills.
From jewellery to coffee, art to (of course) baking, the Hart’s Allstars will be taking over the bakery from 9am to 3pm.
We visited Arch 35 at Temple Meads to find out what they have planned for the day:
is needed now More than ever

Hania Janowicz has worked as front of house for seven months. On Sunday, she will be selling sauerkraut and bigos, a traditional Polish stew, much to the delight of her colleagues.

Head chef Simon Ankers has been at Hart’s Bakery for three years. He will be cooking a traditional raw fish salad called Hawaiian poke, with a roast beetroot version for the veggies.

Front of house for six months, Shanea Evans is bringing in homemade cakes. She will be doing an American take on French friands, using flavours inspired by key lime pie and pecan pie.

Alice Forrest, has been front of house manager for three years. With her colleague Jodie, she will be running a vegan-friendly porridge bar with dairy-free and nut-free options.

Sam Bodington has been a barista at Hart’s for a year. On Sunday he will be serving up coffee using beans from Somerset’s Round Hill Roastery.

Iulia Manolescu works as front of house and a barista and has been at Hart’s for four years. She’ll be selling her handmade jewellery.

Safrina Smith, has been barista for six months and on Sunday will be selling her artwork, currently on display on the bakery walls. Her illustrations take inspiration from the food and drink that surrounds her at work.
