A festooned and fairy-lit bar/lounge serving up Christmas cocktails, gins + festive pizzas, Bocabar is the perfect space for large groups. Catering for parties up to 200 guests it offers DJs and dancing on Fridays and Saturdays throughout December.  A glass of fizz, pizza and dessert costs £20, while the Christmas dining menu comes to £24 for two courses and £29.50 for three.

In addition to the original Bocabar at Paintworks, there’s a bijou restaurant and adjoining event space in Glastonbury, while a brand new Bocabar at Finzel’s Reach is due to open at the end of October.

B-Block

Situated in The Chocolate Quarter, B-Block is renowned for its uniquely flavoured wood-fired pizzas. This Christmas, enjoy a more relaxed get together with some special festive pizza toppings added to the mix. The Christmas Steps can easily lay claim to being the most Christmassy pub in Bristol. In December this Dickensian looking area of Bristol buzzes with festive cheer and the pub, housed in a 400-year old sugar refinery, is the perfect spot to enjoy a Christmas meal.

The menu is created using local, ethical suppliers and offers vegan options for every course along with meat and fish. Menu highlights include estate reared venison haunch with Roscoff onions, parsnip, girolles, ragú, prune and Earl Grey sauce, and half-roasted Hokkaido squash stuffed with lentils, wild winter mushrooms, truffle, winter leaves and vegan Parmesan.

Situated in The Chocolate Quarter, Somer is fronted by renowned Bristol chef, Chris Wicks of Bell’s Diner fame, with a menu that focuses on serving up great British food the way it’s meant to be done.
Somer Dining’s Christmas menu is no exception, enjoy dishes including parsnip velouté, citrus cured Loch Duarte salmon, slow cooked duck egg, Kelly bronze turkey with traditional English garnish, roasted globe artichoke with salt baked potatoes, lemon sole with grapes and Prosecco, apple crumble, Christmas pudding and British artisan cheese.

Available from 25 November, the lunch menu offers two courses for £16.50 and three courses for £21.95 while the dinner menu offers two courses for £22.50 and three courses for £28.50.
Special Christmas Jazz Nights will take place on the 7th, 14th and 21st December for an additional £5 per person
