Your Bristol Favourites: Indian restaurants
Over the last month, you have been letting us know via email and social media what are your favourite Indian restaurants across Bristol. In alphabetical order, here are 10 of the best:
Asian Spicery, 202 Cheltenham Road
is needed now More than ever
“I have eaten there more times than I can count and have never been disappointed. My favourite Asian Spicy dish is chana paneer; I have never had better anywhere else. The Asian Spicy is not the swankiest restaurant, but its Bangladeshi food is consistently the best value in town.”
Mike Palmer
Bristol Raj, 36 Alma Vale Road, Clifton
“Great food at reasonable prices and always welcoming.”
Mike Simmons
Chai Shai, 4 Jacob’s Wells Road, Hotwells
“Lovely atmosphere and delicious food, nothing like a bog-standard curry house.”
Steven Hall
Dev’s Kerala, 180 Gloucester Road
“Serving up unpretentious south Indian food – which is by far the best Indian regional cuisine – light, full of spice and flavours. Go for a masala dosa. It’s good value, BYO and the staff are always friendly and smiley. Make sure to poke your head into the kitchen downstairs; the chefs are hilarious and it takes me straight back to travels in India.”
Ben Reed
Krishna’s Inn, 4 Byron Place, Clifton
“A menu packed with delicious dishes (many I’ve never see before).”
