Cider Salon to return to Bristol
Following a successful debut year in 2018, a cider festival is returning to Bristol to showcase some of the best ciders from around the world.
Cider Salon will once again comprise a week of talks, tastings, label art exhibitions and dinners with independent venues across the city.
Taking place from June 3 to 9, the main event will be the Cider Salon itself – a US-inspired tasting session at Trinity on the afternoon of Saturday, June 8 with 30 producers pouring 90 speciality ciders.
is needed now More than ever
Cider Salon will be opportunity to try crafted bottled ciders from the UK and as far afield as Estonia, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the USA; with drinkers able to discover more about a range of traditional drinks and finely-honed techniques, such as methode traditionelle, pet nat, keeving, perry and pommeau.

Co-organiser Martin Berkeley from Pilton Cider in Somerset said: “Cider is a misunderstood drink. Many people have preconceptions about what cider is based upon bad experiences as a youth or what is available in the supermarkets. But the fact is, cider can be so much better.
“When using time, care and specific techniques, cider can demonstrate all of the quality and finesse of any wine.”
In addition to the main event, there will be a number of fringe events including a cider dinner at Yurt Lush, and cider-inspired menus at Dela, Poco and West Street Kitchen.
