Another closed Bedminster pub set to reopen

By Charlie Watts  Tuesday Apr 25, 2023

The third of four pubs in south Bristol that closed on the same day has announced it is to reopen under new management.

In a Facebook post, the Tap & Barrel said it will reopen its doors on Thursday from 10am.

“The new management are looking forward to meeting all the regulars and new faces,” the post said.

The pub on Dean Lane is one of four in Bedminster that unexpectedly closed at the end of March.

They are all owned by the same person, but closed after the previous licensee of them said she could no longer continue due to cost-of-living rises.

The Black Cat on West Street was the first of the four to reopen, under new management, on Good Friday.

This was followed by the London Inn, on the corner of British Road and Cannon Street, on April 14.

The reopening of the Tap & Barrel will leave the Albert Lounge on West Street the last of the four to remain closed.
