Aqua to open ‘grand cafe’

Aqua is transforming one of its Bristol restaurants into a “grand cafe”.

Building work is currently taking place at the restaurant on Whiteladies Road on what Aqua’s managing director describes as “something new, something exciting (and) something very special”.

Those with longer memories will recall 153 Whiteladies Road being Colleys Supper Rooms.

In an Instagram video, Aqua MD Ben Smithson said: “We are well and truly underway creating a brand new restaurant for you.

“I am bringing back the classics and we’re going to create a grand cafe here on Whiteladies Road

“Something new, something exciting, something very special and I cannot wait to show you what it’s going to be like. Stay tuned.”
