Biblos to open restaurant in Wapping Wharf
Biblos will become the latest Bristol independent food business to open in Wapping Wharf.
The fourth Biblos is due to open on Gaol Ferry Steps before the end of the year, joining Bertha’s Pizza, Better Food, Little Victories, Mokoko and Wild Beer.
Co-owner Will Clarke (pictured above) said: “Our new eatery will serve fresh homemade wraps for which Biblos is renowned, as well as our new Kitchen Calypso menu which is exclusive to Wapping Wharf.
is needed now More than ever
“There will be a bigger emphasis on Caribbean inspired dishes such as jerk chicken, prawn gumbo, oxtail stew and my favourite roasted jerk belly pork; all this will be accompanied with coconut rice ’n’ peas, slaw and plantain.”

Will added: “We’re very much looking forward to working alongside the fantastic lineup of independents which are either open already or coming soon to Wapping Wharf, which is becoming an exciting, new destination for food lovers.
“While we’re very well known in the east of the city, it’s exciting to have this opportunity to branch out into a completely different part of town.
“Plus, it’s also the first time we’ve ever taken on brand new premises, so we’re enjoying the chance to set everything up from scratch just how we want it.”
Biblos’ new restaurant follows their current locations in St Werburgh’s, Stokes Croft and Gloucester Road.
Also due to open within Wapping Wharf soon is the shipping container development Cargo, home to restaurants, takeaways and shops.
On the residential side, there are now 194 home making up the first phase of Wapping Wharf, with initial works under way in preparation for phase two which will include more than 320 new homes, a second Cargo development and a new walkway through the historic former Bristol Gaol gatehouse down towards the rear of M Shed.
