Bizarre theft at new cafe

A new cafe has fallen victim to theft soon after its opening night.

All door handles to The Crafty Egg’s new branch on Church Road were methodically stolen by a pair who have been captured on CCTV.

Footage shows two men, one of whom can be seen unscrewing the handles using a power tool while the other stands guard by the road.

The Crafty Egg which opened its third branch at the former Wetherspoons site on Friday, took to Facebook to announce the sad news.

The cafe first opened in 2016 at Stokes Croft, before opening a second branch at Fishponds.
