Bristol-brewed beer named one of world’s best
A beer named after a legendary giant has won two prizes at the World Beer Awards 2022.
Goram IPA Zero from Butcombe claimed both gold and country winner in the no / low IPA category at the prestigious awards.
The beer is Butcombe’s first ever low alcohol IPA, which mirrors their original IPA recipe – just without the alcohol.

The Butcombe brewery is in Wrington, with Butcombe pubs in Bristol including the Ostrich in Redcliffe, the Cottage on Spike Island and the Whitmore Tap in Clifton.
Butcombe’s Marc McGuigan said: “Goram IPA Zero is a relatively new product for us so to earn recognition from world-renowned industry experts so soon is a huge achievement.
“This award pays testament to the quality of our products and the skill, passion and dedication of the team at Butcombe Brewing Co and I’d like to take this opportunity to raise a glass to them all.”
