Moor Beer’s Justin Hawke said: “CAMRA’s 50th birthday coincides with my own so being recognised with a Golden Award is incredibly meaningful and great validation for all we’ve achieved.
“Over the past 14 years we’ve made some lasting changes to the industry such as founding the unfined vegan beer movement and releasing the first can conditioned naturally live beer, all the while staying focused on world class flavour and drinkability.
“Along the way we’ve made some incredible friends, provided great careers to our employees, supported charities and social initiatives, and had a lot of fun. CAMRA has been a huge part of that personally and professionally.
“I moved here for my love of real ale and was a CAMRA volunteer for 10 years before I had the brewery. Beer wouldn’t be where it is without CAMRA’s hard work, and it’s pleasing to see that it’s adapting to the future.
“Thanks, CAMRA and everyone who supported us along the way. Cheers to the next 50!”
