Bristol is getting a Burger Bear

A burger restaurant that has built up a cult following in London is due to open in Bristol at the beginning of next year.

Burger Bear will be taking on the site on Gloucester Road that was most recently Bagel Boy.

Founder Tom Reaney told Bristol24/7: “Bristol can look forward to The Grizzly Bear with our signature bacon jam, and me and my hospitality! Love is the message.”

Tom, who will be front and centre at the Bristol Burger Bear. “I feel excited,” he added. “We’ve come a long way in a short period and I’ve kind of pushed myself away from the kitchen. With Bristol I’ll be running the show though!”

Burger Bear began as a street food stall before opening in Stoke Newington as Stokey Bears and later at The Old Nun’s Head pub in Peckham.

Following a successful crowdfunding campaign, Tom opened another restaurant in the middle of Old Street roundabout, known as The Magic Roundabout.
