Bristol Porridge Project opens its doors

By Martin Booth  Saturday Jul 15, 2017

Adam Sheppard first encountered porridge cafes on his travels through Germany and liked it so much that he has brought the concept to Bristol.

Bristol Porridge Project, on the corner of Trenchard Street and Lodge Street behind the Colston Hall, sells all of their bowls of porridge for £3.

There are dozens of different toppings to choose from and six curated selections from Adam, who rolls the oats by hand each morning, with the porridge then cooked in a bain marie.

Options include The Ultimate Porridge (dark chocolate, banana and maple syrup), Cherry & White (cherry compote, white chocolate and coconuts) and Crazy Clifton Combo (dates, cacao nibs, cranberries, hazelnuts, apple and cinnamon).

Dairy-free milk options are available with soya, oat and almond milk, and the cafe also serves tea, coffee and cakes.
