Crafty Egg to open new cafe in former pub
A pub which has been closed since summer 2021 is getting a new lease of life as Bristol’s second Crafty Egg cafe.
The Crafty Egg is already a popular spot on Stokes Croft and the team promise to give their second site “a twist” from their current offering.
It will be open from 8am until late, offering brunch as well as beers and pizzas.
is needed now More than ever
Located in the former New Moon pub on Fishponds Road, The Crafty Egg in Fishponds will be fitted out with plants like their original home.
“The aesthetic will be casual, funky and full of plants, in a similar vein to our original Stokes Croft site, only much bigger,” the team wrote on their social media channels to announce the news, adding that they hope to open in March.

“We choose high quality, local suppliers where possible… We’re independent and proud and we’re supporting other local independents where we can.
“As we move into the late afternoon and evening, brunch will close down and the venue will go back to its roots – a boozer, but with food.
“Beer wise, we’ll keep it local. There’s no shortage of breweries on our doorstep. To name a few, not limited to, and on rotation, we’ll stock Good Chemistry, Tapestry, Wiper & True, Bristol Beer Factory, Arbor, Fierce & Noble, Newtown Park etc etc.
“To top it all off we’re putting our hand to pizza, using only top notch ingredients. Our doors are also open to pop-ups.”
The Crafty Egg are now recruiting for staff: a cafe manager, baristas, front of house staff, kitchen manager, chefs, kitchen assistants, kitchen porters, a pizza chef, bar manager and bar staff. Send your CV with a short cover note to thecraftyegg@gmail.com
