Discover the science behind cocktails
Do you enjoy the occasion of crafting the perfect cocktail, serving the most refreshing tipple or cultivating the perfect drinking atmosphere?
Jigger Beaker Glass, named after the cocktail-travel book Around the world with Jigger, Beaker and Flask, aims to reach out to bartenders nationwide with their series of interactive talks and seminars.
The UK tour series, hosted by Bacardi Brown Forman, promises to bring inspiration to Bristol’s drink connoisseurs through their immersive seminar, The Science of Flavour: How to Push the Boundaries of Taste, which takes place on Tuesday at Loose Cannon in the Harbourside.
is needed now More than ever
The event will be presented by a guest trio of experts in the field: Chris Moore, Grey Almeida and Jake O’Brien Murphy.
They will share their expertise, skills, and industry experience with Bristol’s promising bartenders. It will be an interactive discussion in which the audience will develop their understanding of flavour and learn to push the boundaries with their customers.
Taking their three core words as themes, the programme will discuss a range of ideas:
- ‘Jigger’ will be a discussion of apparatus, skills, and fusing scientific techniques with cocktail making
- ‘Beaker’ aims to look into cocktail innovation and how to heighten the experience
- ‘Glass’ is going to be a panel discussion of three drinks that showcase the science of flavour
Jigger Beaker Glass takes place on Tuesday, February 19 2019 at Loose Cannon on Millennium Promenade. Register for your ticket at www.jiggerbeakerglass.co.uk
