Experienced restaurant team to cater for four Bristol nurseries

By Martin Booth  Wednesday Jan 24, 2024

A restaurant group behind some of Bristol’s most popular eateries will be providing the food at four nurseries across the city from April.

The team behind restaurants including Bianchis, Cotto and Pazzo is the new caterer for Raised In Bristol, who have nurseries in Easton, St Paul’s and Southmead.

Raised In Bristol is a social enterprise “dedicated to providing first-rate early years education whilst supporting community organisations”, with their nurseries all in community spaces including Felix Road Adventure Playground and the Greenway Centre.

Cucina Bambini from the Bianchis Group will be providing fresh meals and snacks for children aged from six months to five at the nurseries using local high-quality and seasonal produce.

Bianchis Group co-founder Ben Harvey worked in the education catering sector for five years in London before returning home to Bristol to open his first restaurant, the former Pasta Loco, with cousin Dominic Borel.

“I’m really excited to jump back into it,” said Harvey.

“We are a family-run business. Growing up in Bristol, our roots were nurtured through a strong sense of community and food was always at the centre of everything we did.

“When Raised In Bristol approached us to work with them, it was clear from the start that our ethics and standards were very alike and we were immediately inspired to develop the business idea of Cucina Bambini.

“We have a large central kitchen in the heart of Easton with a great team of chefs who cook daily for our restaurants with plenty of capacity and space to take on more, so we can’t wait to start cooking for the kids!”
