Five Bristol restaurants named in UK’s top-100
Ahead of the eagerly awaited publication of EatDrink24/7, Bristol24/7’s annual food and drink guide which will be launched with a party at Wapping Wharf on July 20, another guide has named five Bristol restaurants among the UK’s best 100.
The top-100 best local restaurants from The Good Food Guide sees eateries in Redland, Southville, Stokes Croft, Totterdown and Westbury Park make the list.
Drawn from more than 37,000 nominations from diners, the 2023 list “celebrates the places that are the beating heart of communities around Britain”.

After 13 years, The Good Food Guide said that this year “turned out to be the strongest field of contenders we’ve ever seen”.
The South West’s best local restaurant is named as Wild Artichokes in Kingsbridge, Devon; while the overall national winner is Tallow in Southborough in Kent.

The Bristol restaurants featured are:
- Bank, Wells Road, Totterdown
- Caper & Cure, Stokes Croft
- Little French, North View, Westbury Park
- Little Hollows, Chandos Road, Redland
- Sonny Stores, Raleigh Road, Southville
Writing on Instagram, Caper & Cure said that they were “beyond thrilled” to be included in the list.
“Our restaurant, like so many in Bristol, has had no external investment and is a project of passion – not driven by profits – but the joy of working with a great team, serving our lovely customers, and sourcing and delivering excellent food and wine! Thanks @goodfoodguideuk for the recognition.”
Also writing on Instagram, Little Hollows said that they are “absolutely delighted” while Bank said that they are “incredibly proud”.
