Gail’s to open two new bakeries in Bristol in 2025

By Milan Perera  Friday Dec 27, 2024

A nationwide bakery chain that opened its first Bristol outlet in May is set to expand its footprint in the city with two new openings in 2025.

Gail’s, which has around 150 stores up and down the country, will open in the former Little Dobbies on Whiteladies Road, and in part of what used to be Fopp and before that Waterstones next to the Lord Mayor’s Chapel on College Green.

Both new stores are expected to open in February.

The first Gail’s bakery opened in London’s Hampstead High Street in 2005.

They have since rapidly expanded, and faced some criticism when opening their first outlet in Bristol for choosing an area with many independent cafes and bakeries.
