A popular Bristol brewery hope to open their first pub before Christmas.
The Good Measure from the team at Good Chemistry will be located on Redland’s food and drink mecca of Chandos Road.
It will be the first pub for Good Chemistry co-owners Kelly Sidgwick and Bob Cary, who have hosted regular events at their St Philip’s brewery since 2015.
is needed now More than ever
The Good Measure will have a permanent selection of Good Chemistry beers on draught, a carefully curated lineup of both cask and keg brews from across the UK, and a selection of natural wines and spirits.

The Good Measure will open in the former Aviator bar on Chandos Road
“We can’t wait to bring beers from some of our favourite breweries to Chandos Road, and look forward to running tap takeovers and other fun events at The Good Measure next year,” said Bob, who worked at Great Western Brewing and Wiper & True before founding Good Chemistry with Kelly.
The Good Measure will be opening on the corner of Chandos Road and Collingwood Road in what was most recently Aviator bar and previously the Potted Parrot wine bar.
Chandos Road has gained a reputation in recent years as one of Bristol’s premiere food and drink hotspots, with restaurants including Wilks, Wilsons, No Man’s Grace, and Otira and Chandos Social; as well as Chums micropub; and cake shop Pearly King.
