Hot dog restaurant to close

By Karen Johnson  Sunday Oct 13, 2024

A hot dog restaurant has announced it will be closing after three years of trading from a converted shipping container.

Dog Town in Wapping Wharf will be taking orders for the last time on October 31.

In a statement on Instagram, Oli, Henry and the Dog Town team said that it has been “an absolute pleasure to satisfy your hot dog needs.”

The statement from Dog Town said: “First and foremost, we would like to thank all of our amazing customers over the years, especially all of our regulars.

“It’s been an absolute pleasure to satisfy your hot dog needs. You’re the reason our business has been so successful, and we can’t thank you all enough.

“We would also like to thank all of our amazing staff from past to present, you are the true stars of our business and the life and blood of our operation. Without you, we simply wouldn’t have made it this far.

“This hasn’t been an easy decision to make, as we value our staff and customers immensely. However, we feel it is time for us personally to put aside the sausages to pursue other avenues in our careers/lives.

“Thanks again for everything, we love you all.”
