Colston is well and truly welcome in the new North Street Cheese Company.

That’s as long as it’s Colston Bassett stilton made in Nottinghamshire from unpasteurised cow’s milk, just one of the cheeses piled high on the counter here.

Walking into this new shop is like walking into a fridge, with all the cheeses kept in perfect condition.

As well as the stilton, a few of the other options – all priced per kilogram – include Appleby’s Cheshire, Kirkham’s Lancashire and an amazing parmesan from the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy.
