Independent coffee shop set to close
An independent coffee shop on Gloucester Road is set to close in response to the current economic climate.
Ritual Coffee announced on social media that they are set to close their doors on Saturday, October 7.
In a post, the cafe said: “Not an easy message to write, but sadly the decision has been taken to close Ritual for Good”

“In this current climate it just isn’t possible to stay open”

Ritual Coffee opened a year ago on Gloucester Road
“Thank you to all that have shown me support and enjoyed my food”
The closure isn’t an isolated one, with various hospitality venues in Bristol closing their doors in the face of rising costs and falling demand. Emmeline in Stokes Croft and Mission Burrito on Park Street have been the latest casualties.
Responding to the news on Instagram, one user commented: “So sad to hear – you’ll be missed & your delicious food’
The shop opened in autumn of last year, and became well known for its quality vegan and vegetarian food.
