An Indian restaurant has been named the best in Bristol for the third consecutive year.

They have most recently retained their title of Best Restaurant in Bristol at the British Restaurant Awards 2024.

The restaurant on Mina Road had competition from the likes of Cor on North Street, the Lido in Clifton, Bravas on Cotham Hill and Bristol’s only Michelin-starred restaurant, Bulrush on Cotham Road.

Namak owner and head chef, Harris Massey, said that winning the prestigious award for the third year in a row was a “huge achievement for us as an independent local community restaurant”.

Massey and his team take pride in being the only “living Indian kitchen” in Bristol where the diners can catch a glimpse of each step of the food preparation process – from raw ingredients to the garnished plate.

Massey told Bristol24/7 Namak has always had great support from the local community of St Werburgh’s.

Namak also supports local businesses in St Werburgh’s including serving beer from Wiper & True and garnishes from Better Food.

Massey said: “Whatever we prepare is very authentic and in a very traditional way to create the best of best for our lovely guests.”
