Japanese restaurant to move

A Japanese restaurant which opened in the Galleries in 2023 is moving out ahead of the shopping centre’s future redevelopment.

Niji promise “a taste of Japan in every bite” in their current restaurant.

They are set to open at Union Gate, on the corner of Union Street and Silver Street, in what has in recent years been the site of The Mana House, Atomic Diner, Steam and Bella Pizza.

Writing on Instagram, the Niji team wrote: “We are excited to announce that we are moving soon…

“Opening date is still to be confirmed, but we are looking at early March for now. Dinner and new menu items will then be available. Stay tuned!”
