Knoops opens in Bristol

By Martin Booth  Friday Jul 12, 2024

What started as a small cafe in East Sussex has since spread across the UK and now Knoops has its first branch in Bristol.

Joining Bristol’s own hot chocolate royalty, Mrs Potts on nearby Park Street and Ruby Hue in Finzels Reach, Knoops has opened on Queen’s Road in what was previously Body Shop.

A visit here means choosing a white, milk or dark chocolate by percentage which can then be made into a hot or iced chocolate, or a milkshake.

“We find joy in helping you to discover your perfect chocolate drink, and encourage experimentation with different percentage chocolates and flavours in a process we call ‘Knoopology’,” says their website.

Knoopology comes at a price, however.

You won’t get change from a fiver for most of their drinks, especially the single origin chocolates from countries including Tanzania, Peru and the Philippines.
