Mangosteen to open second restaurant
A restaurant which opened at the beginning of 2024 is set to open a second site south of the river in early 2025.
Mangosteen on Cotham Hill is a Thai tapas restaurant from the team behind other restaurants and bars including RockSalt, HarbourHub and Golden Crane.
They are now set to move to North Street in a space that was previously Sazz Mezze.
is needed now More than ever
“We love the area of Bedminster; it’s a beautiful area of with a great independent scene and some of Bristol’s best independent businesses,” Mangosteen operations manager Loki Stokes told Bristol24/7.
“We have been really well received at the site on Cotham Hill.
“Feedback has been great and this has given us the confidence to move to a part of Bristol which, like Cotham Hill, celebrates the lovely, interesting and independent culture of the city.”

Mangosteen on North Street promises to keep the same concept, design and menus as Cotham Hill but with extended opening hours.
Loki added: “We hope to launch in January and start the new year in style, hoping to bring an exciting and lively project to the people of Bedminster and Southville.
“We are still a young business looking to learn about what customers need and want, and so active learning and interpretation of the area is really important as we open up in Bedminster.
“We will move into the area with a flexible approach so as not to encroach on the already well-endowed scene on North Street.”
