Michelin-starred restaurant to expand
If there is one thing the Sanchez-Iglesias family don’t do, it’s sit still.
From their pizzeria in Westbury-on-Trym developing into a Michelin-starred restaurant, moving to Redcliffe and opening two new restaurants, they are constantly adapting and evolving.
Casamia is closing for the last time on August 20, but the team are already planning what will replace it.

Meanwhile, next door to Casamia, what used to be Pi Shop and the short-lived The 3rd bakery is becoming the extension of Paco Tapas.
There is also a new waterside dining terrace with space for 55 guests overlooking Bathurst Basin, where you can enjoy the Michelin-starred tapas alfresco.
Paco Tapas head chef Joel Breakwell and team will be cooking for an additional 20 covers with the expansion, increasing the size of the restaurant’s inside seating by 50 per cent.
With just over a month to go before its closure, Casamia hosted its first ever comedy gigs on Wednesday evening.
The two shows were part of Belly Laughs, with host Mark Olver compering in yellow Crocs, alongside a lineup of comedians including Eleri Morgan, Leila Navadi, Harry Creffield, Claire Rammelkamp and Priya Hall.
Guests ate four courses made from surplus produce, with £2,000 raised for FareShare.
