Montpelier restaurant to transform into shop and deli
It has been quite a ride for Bianchis over the last 18 months.
The restaurant opened in the summer of 2019 on Picton Street in Montpelier, and just over a year later leant its name to a pop-up pizzeria within the courtyard of Lakota in St Paul’s.
Now, the restaurant in the former Bell’s Diner will be transformed into a shop and deli.
is needed now More than ever
“We will sell our own freshly baked bread, hand crafted pasta and sauces,” said the Bianchis Group team, also behind Pasta Loco, Pasta Ripiena and La Sorella.
“Our deli counter and kitchen takeaway menu will be full of delicious treats cooked daily by our chefs. There will be a range of dry goods from Italy and Spain as well as fresh vegetables and locally sourced free range and organic meats.
“And of course we will have an extensive range of wines for you to enjoy at home.”

The new shop and deli is opening on Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 6pm for a soft opening, before being officially open from Wednesday, January 20.
Its website is due to go live soon featuring products and sample menus, and the ability to pre-order items such as bread and pasta kits as well as veg boxes and chef’s selection boxes.
The team added that they will be “doing our upmost to make Bianchis as Covid secure as possible for both the customers and our staff alike”.
