New Brazilian steakhouse opening soon
Tio João promises to be a Brazilian steakhouse offering an all-you-can-eat buffet and barbecue.
Diners can look forward to a variety of slow-cooked meats – known in Portuguese as rodizio – brought to tables by the chefs themselves.
“We recommend coming with an empty stomach and large appetite,” the team say
is needed now More than ever
Tio João is due to open on St Michael’s Hill in Kingsdown, next to Giggsy’s barbers and opposite Psychopomp microdistillery.
146 St Michael’s Hill has remained closed in recent years, but was previously an Indian restaurant called Raj and Italian restaurant, La Passione.
‘Tio’ means ‘uncle’ in Portuguese, with João a popular name in both Brazil and Portugal, including Manchester City and Watford footballers, João Cancelo and João Pedro.
