New cafe opens in Airstream caravans in Paintworks
A steady stream of new customers walked into Convoy Espresso on its first morning, grateful for being able to be served good coffee in the Paintworks.
One of the new customers was florist Rachel Husband whose business, The Rose Shed, is based only a few hundred yards away and whose flowers will soon be for sale through one window of the converted Airstream caravans.
In a couple of weeks, Convoy will be twice as large, with co-owner Josh hard at work painting in one caravan on Monday morning as fellow co-owner Colin pulling the shots in the half of Convoy now open as manager Hannah looked on.
is needed now More than ever
It’s card-only here at the moment for espresso drinks with Origin beans and filter made with beans roasted by Triple Co. on Stokes Croft, and a selection of Canton teas.
When the other caravan opens for business, there will be a basic food menu to start. Currently, there are pastries on the counter from Assembly Bakery in Old Market.
As Lost in Paris by Tom Misch played on the stereo, Colin and Hannah pulled more shots and compared their latte art with more new customers stepping up into the caravan to sample the best coffee this side of Temple Meads.
