New Scandi-style cafe opens

By Martin Booth  Wednesday Apr 17, 2024

The owner of a new cafe on Park Street has left the world of energy management to open his dream coffee house.

Gather owner Ethan believes that a resurgent Park Street is an ideal location, with the cafe midway up the road tempting in passers-by with some coffee tasters on Tuesday morning.

Being inspired by the cafes of Scandinavia, there are of course Swedish-style cinnamon and cardamom buns baked by Pano in Chippenham with pasties from 404 on nearby Whiteladies Road.

The house blend roasted by Clifton Coffee will change four times a year with the seasons, with the current Spring blend featuring beans from El Salvador and Ethiopia.

On offer currently as a batch brew is a Rwandan coffee from Obadiah in Edinburgh.
