Pasta restaurant appears to have closed

By Martin Booth  Friday Oct 4, 2024

There has been no official confirmation but all the signs are sadly there that a vegan pasta restaurant in Bristol has been permanently shuttered after less than two years.

Pastan opened in January 2023 on Prince Street close to Queen Square in a site previously occupied by Friska following a successful pop-up at the Nectar House on Gloucester Road in the summer of 2021.

A sign in the window says the restaurant was due to reopen on September 30 after being closed for ‘staff holidays’ but the unopened post and lack of furniture appears to make a reopening unlikely.

Pastan’s location in Bristol has also been removed from the website of the business, which still has restaurants in the Barbican in London, and in Barcelona and Fuengirola in Spain.

Its restaurants in Brighton and Manchester have also closed.
