The new cafe in the cathedral may have opened its doors but it is not quite finished yet.
Clear glass is still due to be installed in the windows and an exit created to lead from the cafe directly into the cathedral’s garden.
Open seven days a week, Pinkmans promises light lunches, coffee and cake, as well as their famous sourdoughnuts.

The garden onto which Pinkmans cafe will soon open onto was for many years the cathedral’s graveyard and contains the graves of many bishops, dean and clergy.
Described as “a unique and unusual secret garden”, it is now looked after by volunteers from the cathedral’s congregation.
