Plans alter for Gloucester Road Wetherspoons
JD Wetherspoon have not given up the challenge of opening a pub on Gloucester Road.
The giant pub chain have been trying since 2014 to get permission to open a new branch in a former retail unit but have encountered numerous set-backs, from The Bishopston Society to Bristol City Council licensing officers.
At a public exhibition held on Monday at the Memorial Stadium, representatives from Wetherspoons presented their latest plans, with no roof terrace and an area of 3,687 sq ft on the ground floor.

The proposed pub at numbers 349-353 was most recently an extension of the next door reclamation yard and is situated between the Anchor and the Royal Oak.
