Popular restaurant to take over running of Ashton Gate pizzeria

By Martin Booth  Monday Jun 29, 2020

The reopening of restaurants across the UK on Saturday will coincide with a new team at the ovens of the Sports Bar & Pizzeria at Ashton Gate Stadium.

They already have two restaurants in Bristol, on North Street in Bedminster and on Whiteladies Road in Clifton.

And now the family-run business will be serving up its sourdough pizzas at the home of Bristol Bears and Bristol City.

Pizza Workshop will open its doors at Ashton Gate every Thursday, Friday and Saturday throughout the summer from 6pm.

Ashton Gate head of venue and events, Jenny Hutchinson, said: “We’re excited to be working in partnership with such a great local brand like Pizza Workshop.

“Their pizzas are of the highest quality and it’s fantastic to bring that offering into our Sports Bar & Pizzeria.”

Hutchinson and the team at Ashton Gate hope to be screening live games during the summer on the largest indoor pub screen in the country.
