The awards aim to “celebrate the brilliance and vibrancy of the UK’s eating out scene, and reward the very best chefs, front of house staff and restaurants the country has to offer”.
This year, Wilsons on Chandos Road has been named on the prestigious list for the second year running, appearing at number 55.

“So last night we came 55th in the @nationalrestaurantawards,” the pair wrote on Instagram.
“If you had told me 7 years ago that the tiny little shop that me and @mary_louise_wilson somehow made look kinda like a restaurant and would be judged against the best restaurants in the Uk and found to belong,I’d have told you to move on.
“We’re both stunned and incredibly grateful to the people who have made this possible.
“Our colleagues, suppliers and customers who have stood by us when things are hard have made this possible.
“Thank you.”
