Restaurant with ‘lovely Parisian charm’ opens

This is the type of scene you can expect inside the newly transformed Aqua Grand Cafe.
The restaurant, located at 153 Whiteladies Road, opened its doors on Monday and hopes to bring “a magical dining experience” to Bristol.

The brasserie serves pastries and breakfast from 7.30am, followed by afternoon tea, lunch, dinner and a wide range of cocktails.
Diners can expect Severn & Wye smoked salmon from Chaxhill, steaks from Hurst Farm, Slimbridge and Burford Brown eggs from Clarence Court.
“It’s been a passion of mine since working at the Savoy Grill, the French classics is something that has inspired my whole career”, owner Ben Smithson said.

Smithson added: “Creating a magical dining experience in decadent surroundings just being looked after at every stage is something that I want to offer everyone.
“I have now taken on the restaurant and wanted to bring the grand cafe to the area.
“It just fits in – a lovely Parisian charm.
“It has been an vision of mine for many years and the building just screamed out to change it to a grand cafe. I want to create charm and sumptuous experience.”
