Rosa’s Thai to open restaurant in former post office
A Thai restaurant with more than 30 locations across the UK is set to open in a former post office in Bristol.
Rosa’s Thai was founded by Saiphin Moore in 2008 as a market stall in east London.
“Nothing makes me happier than making people smile with my cooking,” says Saiphin, who was born and grew up in northern Thailand. “I have always loved food and my vision for Rosa’s was always to share this passion.”
is needed now More than ever
Every dish on the menu is created by Saiphin, based on her family recipes or inspirations from places where she has lived in, which included a time working as a nanny and later opening a noodle shop in Hong Kong.
The first Rosa’s Thai in Bristol is due to open on the corner of Baldwin Street and Marsh Street, next door to Bella Italia, in what used to be a Co-Op shop and post office.
Plans have been submitted to the city council for a traditional painted timber shopfront and awnings.
The corner entrance is also due to be replaced with new solid timber doors “to better suit the historic building and conservation area”.
