Shop and bar named best newcomer at national awards ceremony

A shop and bar in south Bristol has won best newcomer at the Drinks Retailing Awards.

Spirited is owned by Katy Kennedy, who says her business on North Street is “about conviviality and sharing – sharing spirits, imparting knowledge, exchanging stories, revealing experiences”.

The Drinks Retailing Awards ceremony took place at the Dorchester Hotel on Park Lane, bringing together  supermarkets, independents and convenience retailers.

Writing on Instagram, Katy said: “We are absolutely delighted to have won Best Newcomer at The Drinks Retailing Awards last night!

“Huge thanks to Drinks Retailing, The Dorchester, all our amazing staff, suppliers and customers.

“Massive congratulations to all the other winners and nominees @milbys_shop @thestores_frome @wineloftbrixham @vineyards_wine.

“Truly lovely to spend the evening with so many wonderful people from the drinks industry and an absolute honour to win an award. Thank you!!”
