Source to move out of St Nick’s after more than a decade

By Martin Booth  Monday Feb 22, 2021

After more than 11 years, one of Bristol’s best food and drink shops has left St Nick’s Market.

Source will continue trading from a new home in St Philip’s, with its former premises on Exchange Avenue due to become a Vietnamese restaurant.

“Being part of the historic market in BS1 has been great and was a brilliant site for our cafe and food hall,” Source co-founder Joe Wheatcroft wrote in an email to customers.

Joe will continue to supply some of the very best food for sale in Bristol, while former Source head chef Ross Wills is moving to The Spiny Lobster in Clifton and pastry chef Liz Carrad will be going on to new ventures yet to be announced.

Joe added: “This is a permanent change and we plan to (with your support) continuing to do so long after Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted (although we may open a bricks and mortar shop again one day).”

Source is offering free delivery throughout February. Use the code FL01 when submitting orders of over £35 via www.sourceorders.co.uk.
