Square Food Foundation to host fundraising dinner to tackle food insecurity
A charity fighting food insecurity in Knowle West is set to take over Yeo Valley HQ for a night in April to raise vital funds for their work.
Square Food Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in South Bristol, is hosting a dinner at Yeo Valley Canteen in Blagdon on Thursday 18 April.
The event aims to raise vital funds to support Square Food Foundation’s initiatives, which include teaching people from diverse backgrounds how to cook from scratch. By empowering individuals with culinary skills, the organisation hopes to reduce hunger, improve health outcomes, and foster a sense of community through shared cooking experiences.

Tickets for the event are priced at £70 for individual attendees or £630 for a table of 10. This includes a welcome drink, a three-course dinner, wine, and return coach tickets from Clifton to Yeo Valley.
The menu for the evening has been curated by Barny Haughton MBE, in collaboration with Yeo Valley’s Head Chef, Marc Salmon. Attendees can expect a selection of locally sourced and seasonal dishes, including canapés, mains, desserts, and cheese.
In addition to indulging in a delicious dinner, guests will have the opportunity to participate in an auction featuring exclusive experiences.
All proceeds from the dinner will directly support Square Food Foundation’s ongoing programs, including primary school projects, the How To Be A Chef programme run in conjunction with Bristol24/7, and adult cooking programs tailored to individuals with learning disabilities and those at risk of loneliness.
Square Food Foundation emphasises the importance of access to healthy, affordable food and the acquisition of cooking skills for both individuals and the wider community. Through events like the upcoming fundraising dinner, the organisation seeks to make a tangible impact in the fight against food insecurity in South Bristol.
