Street food pancake stall opens permanent premises
After serving pancakes across Bristol’s street food markets for two years, a group of friends have finally opened in permanent premises.
Taking up one of the converted shipping containers in Wapping Wharf, The Pancake Man will be serving pancakes, waffles and crepes with a variety of toppings to choose from.
The team, who were most recently seen at the Christmas Market in Broadmead, started their venture in May 2023 when they first made what they believe are the “best pancakes ever”.

To celebrate the opening of their first permanent premises on Saturday, the team gave out free mini-pancakes to the first 50 customers to visit their shop on Museum Street.

The Pancake Man is next door to Loki Poke, who also recently opened a second location in St Nick’s Market.
In a joint statement, The Pancake Man co-founders Chris and Efty said: “We’ve chosen to embark on this exciting journey at Wapping Wharf, drawn by the vibrant atmosphere and diverse community of food and retail.
“Our aim is to bring people together with the joy of delicious fluffy pancakes.
“The Pancake Man will be a perfect addition to the neighbourhood and we’re excited to take the next big step; opening our first standalone store at Wapping Wharf in Bristol.”
