Three more businesses for Cargo 2
The Bristol Cheesemonger, Gopal’s Curry Shack and a new venture from Brace & Browns are the latest retailers set to join Cargo 2 at Wapping Wharf.
Set to be more than twice as big as the original Cargo on Gaol Ferry Steps in Wapping Wharf, the shipping containers making up Cargo 2 are currently taking shape behind the M Shed.

“The Cargo development is a perfect fit for us: independent businesses, community focused and forward thinking,” said Melanie Taylor of Gopal’s Curry Shack.
“Our vision is to bring colour, a little bit of spice and delicious vegetarian Indian street food to Wapping Wharf.”
The new venture into Cargo 2 from Brace & Browns of Whiteladies Road, best known for their bottomless Prosecco brunches, promises to be “the fancier, younger and sexier cousin of Brace & Browns”, with cocktails and a sharing style of eating.

Brace & Browns owner David Brown said: “Wapping Wharf is such a cool concept; it’s fast become a real hub of Bristol living.
“It embodies everything that makes this city so brilliant: innovative design, amazing food, a stunning location, great people and very good times.”
The three new businesses join the likes of Spuntino, Salt & Malt and The Pickled Brisket among the food businesses at Cargo 2, which will also host clothes shop Mabboo, Pure Yoga and Loop Massage.
The first phase of the Wapping Wharf neighbourhood is now complete, comprising 194 homes, with phase two, which will include over 320 new homes, coming soon.
