Greek pastries and sweet treats will soon be available at a new traditional Greek bakery.

Work is underway to transform a former hairdressers in Clifton Village into Bake-A-Licious.

It will be opening in an Italianate-style Grade II-listed building on the corner of Royal York Crescent and Regent Street in what for many years was Gary Henri and more recently HQ Hairdressing.

Bake-A-Licious is from the same team behind Sotiris, a business which has been on Park Row since 2015 but traces its beginnings in Greece back to 1967.

Sotiris’ website says that “everything is freshly baked in the cafe that will make you feel like you’re in (Sotiris’) own grandma’s shop on the side of a cobbled road in Greece.

“The crunch of a feta cheese pie or the sweet aromas of Greek coffee married with homemade baklava are what make Sotiris Pastries a must visit. Come in, have a seat and kopiaste!”
